The Northern Michigan University Classroom, located in the Collaborative Economic Development Space on the second floor of 101 W. Washington Street in Marquette. Accessing 101 W. Washington, second floor: Please enter the doorway across from Elizabeth’s Chop House and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. From there, walk through the breakroom area, take a left down the hallway, go past the restrooms, and walk until you see the classroom area.

In partnership with the Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) and Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce (GINCC), the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) will be holding membership-based Lunch and Learn.
This is an LSCP and/or GINCC member exclusive event.
From 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., join us for lunch and listen to an update from Brian Calley. From 1:00 – 1:30 p.m., enjoy networking and debriefing the Lunch and Learn discussion.
Brian Calley is the President and CEO of the Small Business Association of Michigan. Brian will discuss the current small business climate in Michigan, advocacy efforts in Lansing and how the Strategic Partnership between the Small Business Association of Michigan, Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Superior Community Partnership aligns with each other to make communities stronger and more vibrant for those that choose to call Michigan home.
Calley serves as a director of a community bank and Trustee of Oakland University. He sits on various boards, including Special Olympics Michigan, Sparrow Health System, Disability Rights Michigan, and the Autism Alliance of Michigan.
Calley was Michigan’s Lieutenant Governor from 2011-2018. Before that, Calley served in the Michigan House of Representatives, on the Ionia County Commission, and worked over a decade in community banking. He holds a BA from Michigan State University, an MBA from Grand Valley State University, and an MPA from Harvard University.
